San Angelo State Park officials closed the park on Saturday because a person at the park tested positive for Covid19. It will remain closed until July 8th. In an online statement, they said the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has learned that an individual at the State Park has been tested for COVID-19 and is presumed positive. At this time, out of an abundance of caution, the park will close and will reopen for overnight and day-use reservations on July 8th. They did not say whether the person was a park employee or a visitor.
