A San Angelo engineer, Cary Houston will file to run for a position on the Tom Green County Commission. Houston plans to file as a candidate for Commissioner for Precinct One, which serves the northeast portion of the county. He spent 12 years on the Miles ISD School Board, four of those as president. He has also served for ten years on the board of MHMR Services for the Concho Valley. Describing himself as “conservative and family-oriented,” He graduated from Central High School, holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and is a licensed Professional Engineer. The first day to officially file as a candidate for the March 2020 Primary is November ninth.
