Crash Sends Pickup Into San Angelo State Park’s Longhorn Enclosure

Two separate incidents near Arden and Weston roads created problems for drivers and San Angelo State Park Monday. Police say a semi hauling a mobile home pulled down a cable line while making a turn, but was not involved in a nearby two-vehicle crash. In that crash, a GMC Sierra rear-ended a Ford Edge, sending the GMC through a fence and into trees inside the state park’s longhorn enclosure. Both drivers were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered serious. Park employees secured the damaged fence to keep the longhorns contained. Police say citations are expected in connection with both incidents.
