Tom Green County Commissioner Passes Away

Tom Green County Precinct 2 Commissioner Sammy Farmer has died, his family confirmed Tuesday. Farmer, 67 years old, was a longtime San Angelo community leader and county commissioner since 2019. He also spent more than 30 years at M.L. Leddy’s Boots & Saddlery before retiring in 2024. His daughter said on social media that her father “has gained his angel wings,” and thanked the community for its support. Plans for a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
