A traffic stop in Tom Green County led to multiple drug and firearm charges against 35-year-old Edgar Madrigal of Arkansas. Deputies say the April 6 stop on North U.S. Highway 87 led to a vehicle search, where they found more than 40 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, packaging materials, two pistols and a rifle. Madrigal is charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of marijuana. The sheriff’s office says the arrest reflects ongoing proactive enforcement efforts.
