Concerns about the oil boom in the Permian Basin were highlighted for San Angelo Chamber of Commerce Members today. David Christmas of the Permian Strategic Partnership spoke at the February Chamber luncheon. He said the partnership includes top companies seeking to find long term solutions regarding the growing oil industry in west Texas. He said 15 thousand jobs remain unfilled and how the lack of housing, health care, schools and infrastructure is hindering growth. Members heard that by 2025 the Permian area will be the 4th largest oil producing country in the world and would be pumping 6 million barrels of oil a day.
