ASU Police will host an Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training this week. The training will be provided by certified instructors from the Texas Tech Police Department. It will be a joint exercise with several local law enforcement agencies, including the ASU Police, City Police and County Sheriff’s Department. This will be the first time all three agencies have trained together to prepare for a possible active shooter event. The campus community should expect to see a large police presence in the vicinity of Plaza Verde On Friday (July 20th). The agencies will also conduct live exercises in partnership with the School District on the Lee Middle School campus.
