Dr. Angela M. Belcher, the James Mason Crafts Professor of Biological Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will deliver Angelo State University’s 43rd annual West Texas Medical Associates Distinguished Lectureship in ScienceHonoring Dr. Roy E. Moon on Tuesday, March 26th, in the Houston Harte University Center. She will make two public presentations, one at 2 pm and another at 7 pm. Both presentations will take place in the University Center’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center and are open free to the public. A native of San Antonio, Belcher is a professor, materials scientist and biological engineer at MIT. She is noted for her work in evolving organisms to build new materials and devices for clean energy, electronics, the environment, and medicine. Each year, the lectureship brings a scientist of national prominence to ASU for public lectures, colloquia and informal discussions.
