The #11 Angelo State Rams baseball team started a series at Oklahoma Christian yesterday and the Rams won two close games over Oklahoma Christian by scores of 5-3 and 9-8. With the two wins, ASU baseball improves to 5-0 this season. The second game of the doubleheader was nearly a disaster as the Rams led 7-0 going to the seventh but the Eagles tied the game at 7 before Angelo State scored two runs in the ninth and won by a final of 9-8. Justin Lee had three hits on the day with a home run. The Rams play one more game at Oklahoma Christian today at 1pm
Angelo State softball had an impressive weekend, winning four of five games at the Florida Tech invite. Three of the four Belles wins were shutout wins including a 2-0 victory over #9 Florida Tech and the Belles beat #25 St. Leo 2-1. ASU softball is 7-3 and will host the George McCorkle Challenge this Friday thru Sunday at Mayer Field.
