The City and Habitat for Humanity are looking for volunteers for the annual Neighborhood Paint Blitz on Saturday, April 27th. This year’s effort will target homes in the Belaire neighborhood. Volunteers age 15 and older are welcome. No painting experience is necessary, and all supplies and tools will be provided. Volunteers will be fed breakfast and lunch. The Neighborhood Paint Blitz is a yearly effort to prevent blight in residential areas by sprucing up the homes of low-income residents, most of whom are elderly and disabled. Individuals and teams are being enlisted. To sign up or for more information, contact Bob Salas, director of the City’s Neighborhood and Family Services at 325-655-0824.
