Angelo State Rams improved to 7-2 this season and beat St. Mary's by 26 points on Saturday at the Junell Center 89-63. The Rams were led by Antonio Singleton, who matched his career high in scoring with 33 points, including a perfect 5-5 showing from behind the arc. Singleton also pulled down 10 rebounds for the first double-double of his Angelo State career. The Rams are off this week for finals and don’t play again until December 18 and 19 in Las Vegas at the Holiday Hoops Classic versus Rollins College and Le Moyne College
Angelo State Belles suffered their first loss of the season after a sloppy first half in a 70-64 setback against St. Mary’s. The Belles trailed by as many as 14 points in the second half but cut the deficit down to two in the final two minutes but was unable to grab the lead. Dee Moore led ASU with 17 points and 13 rebounds. The Belles host Texas A&M-International tomorrow at home at noon.
